It stops air infiltration almost completely and is fire, insect and mold resistant. And it is made from recycled news paper. What more could you ask for? How about a great installer? Mike used cellulose insulation via par/PAC method in the fourth unit of a four unit building at the request of the family buying it. He noticed that Unit Four used less energy to heat it over the first winter. When Mike remodeled his own home recently, he has cellulose insulation via par/PAC method installed. He noticed the one room still insulated with fiberglass insulation didn't perform as well as the remodeled parts with cellulose insulation in them. It got hotter in the fiberglass insulated room than the par/PAC insulated rooms in the summer and colder in the fiberglass room than the par/PAC insulated rooms in the winter.
Mike now uses Par/pac for all his projects.
